Gävle Bay Challenge - Swedish Championship Qualifier Offshore

We welcome everyone to the Swedish Championship in boat racing in the offshore class organized by Gefle Aqua Racing.

Some boat classes reach speeds of up to 180 km/h, so we expect a truly action-packed day! Racing boats and jet skis will cover a distance of approximately 32 nautical miles. The start and finish line will be at the pier connected to Huseliiharen, where there is ample seating for spectators and where food and drinks will be available for purchase.

The paddock and the launching of the competition equipment will be located at Gävle Segelsällskap's harbor area, where spectators can mingle with the competitors and take a closer look at the equipment. We will also have some exhibitors showcasing their sports, companies, etc.

The prize-giving ceremony will take place at Gävle Segelsällskap's harbor area after the competition. Gävle Segelsällskap will have light refreshments available for sale.

To follow the competitors during the race, you can download the Webbtracking app and follow the instructions in the app.

The closest accommodation facilities are Engeltofta Sea Lodge and Gävle Camping Engesberg. Please note that booking must be done well in advance as it is peak summer season and there is high demand for the two nearby accommodations.

There is a bus connection between Gävle and Engesberg for those who do not want to drive. There is also a nice bike path from Gävle to Gävle Segelsällskap, and for those who want to take the boat out and watch the competition, the area offers plenty of space to anchor your boat and enjoy the action.
