On Sunday 30 November 2025 at 4 p.m., the festive spirit will light up Stortorget in Gävle as we gather for the traditional inauguration of our world-famous Gävle Goat.
Since 1966, the Gävle Goat has been a beloved Christmas symbol for locals and visitors from around the globe. With its impressive size, warm glow and unique story, it has become a true sign that the festive season is here.
The inauguration promises an evening filled with togetherness, light and anticipation – a time for us to come together to welcome both the Goat and the magic of Christmas.
